Deorani Jethani lived in a city. Devrani was poor and Jethani was rich. Devrani was a devotee of Lord Ganesha. Devrani's husband used to cut wood from the forest and sell it and was often ill. Devrani used to do all the work of Jethani's house and in return, Jethani used to give leftover food, old clothes, etc. to him. Due to this, the family of Devrani was running.
In the month of Magh, Devrani observed the fast of Til Chauth. Tilakutta was made by bringing five rupees of sesame and jaggery. After worshiping, listened to the story of Til Chauth and kept Tilkut in a sneeze and thought that when the moon rises first Tilkutta and only after that she will eat something, after hearing the story she went to work at Jethani's place.
When the children of Jethani were asked to eat food, the children said – Mother has fasted and mother is hungry. When mother will eat food, then we will also eat.
When Jethaji was asked to eat food, he said, "I will not eat alone, when the moon comes out, everyone will eat, then only I will eat"
Devrani said – I have to go home, so give me food.
Jethani said to him - today no one has eaten food yet, how can I give it to you? You take away the leftover food in the morning. Devrani came home with a sad heart. Husband, children were all sitting at Devrani's house with the hope that today is a festival, so some dishes etc. will be available to eat. But when the children came to know that today even bread will not be available, then the children started crying.
Her husband also became very angry and started saying that even after working all day, she cannot bring two rotis. So why do you work? The husband got angry and beat the wife with the laundry. When Dhovna was left out of his hand, he hit him with a pate. She slept after drinking water while weeping to remember poor Ganesh ji.
On that day Ganesh Ji came in the dream of Devrani and started saying dhovne mari, pate mari, is she sleeping or awake.
She said: Some are sleeping, some are awake
Ganesh Ji said: I am hungry, give something to eat
Devrani said: What should I give, there is not even a grain of food in my house, Jethani used to give leftover food, today that too was not found. The remaining tilkuta of Pooja is lying in sneezing, eat that.
Ganesh Ji ate tilkut and after that started saying - " Washing Mari, pate mari, nimtai hai! Where is the nimte"
He said: It's an empty hut, you can go wherever you want
Then Ganesh Ji said, “Where are you now?” Now Devrani was very angry that she was being harassed since, so she said, “Wipe my head and where”. The pearls are lit up. On the head where Bindayakji had been wiped, the diamond vaccines and the bindi were shining on that day Devrani did not go to Jethani's work.
Jethani saw the way for some time and then sent the children to call Devrani. Jethani thought that she had not been given food yesterday, that's why Devrani must have felt bad.
The children went to call and said - Auntie come on! Mother has called, all the work is done. Even if any opportunity is missed in the world, Devrani Jethani does not miss the opportunity to speak amongst themselves.
Devrani said, "Son, you have worked with your mother for a long time, now you send your mother to work with me." The children went home and told the mother that the whole house of the aunt was lit up with diamonds and pearls. Jethani came running to Devrani and asked how all this happened?
Devrani told everything that happened to her. Returning home, Jethani thought something and started saying to her husband – you beat me with washing and pate.
Her husband said well, I have never even raised my hand on you. How can I kill you with a washcloth and pate? She did not agree and started insisting. Her husband was forced to kill her. After beating, she made churma by pouring a lot of ghee kept it in the sneeze, and fell asleep. At night Chauth Bindayak Ji also came into his dream and started saying that he was hungry, "What should I eat",
Jethani said, "Oh Lord Ganesha, you had eaten a pinch of dry tilkut at my godmother's house. I have made churma of ghee and kept it for you in a sneeze, I have also kept fruits and nuts and eat whatever you want"
Ganesh Ji said, "Now settle where," Jethani said, "He had a broken hut here, I have a classy palace here. Settle where you want"
Then Ganesh Ji asked, "Where is the wipe now"
He said, first, the handi of the seals that were buried under the stove and the needle kept in the tail should also be matched. In this way, Bindayakji covered his illusion by getting even a small thing as a needle divided.

O Lord Ganesha, do the same to everyone as you have bestowed on Devrani. Blessings to all the storytellers, listeners, and hooters. But do not give the same punishment to Jethani as given to him.
