It is a matter of golden age. Then there was the kingdom of a Dharmamatma king. That king was a great godmother. There was a very religious Brahmin in his kingdom, his name was Vishnu Sharma.
Vishnu Sharma had 7 sons. They all lived separately. When Vishnu Sharma's growth stage came, he told all the daughters-in-law – all of you should fast on Ganesh Chaturthi. "Vishnu Sharma himself also used to observe this fast." Now when he became old, he wanted to entrust this responsibility to the daughters-in-law.
When he asked the daughters-in-law for this fast, the daughters-in-law insulted him by disobeying him, shrinking his nose and eyebrows. In the end, the younger daughter-in-law accepted the advice of her father-in-law. He fasted with his father-in-law by arranging the items of worship and did not eat food. The father-in-law was given food. When midnight passed, Vishnu Sharma developed vomiting and diarrhea. The younger daughter-in-law washed and wiped the body of the father-in-law after cleaning the clothes spoiled by excreta and urine. Stayed awake the whole night without eating or drinking anything.
Ganesh ji showered his blessings on both of them. The father-in-law's health got better and the younger daughter-in-law's house was completed with money and food. Then other daughters-in-law were also inspired by this incident and they also fasted on Ganesha.
By fasting for twelve months Shukla IV, giving donations and dakshina, the supreme compassionate Ganesha, fulfilling all the wishes, destroys the loop of birth and death and finally gives a place in his divine world.
